It covers doctrine, the history of theology, systematic theology, historical theology, confessional controversies, dogmatic development, and inquiries into continuity and change within Reformed thought.

This area also includes the analysis of primary sources, confessional documents, minutes, treatises, correspondence, and other materials relevant to the historical reconstruction of this tradition.
